The diagnosis of atypical ulcerative lesions in the oral cavity can be a complex multistep process that requires inter-disciplinary investigations and multimodal care. This case conference will bring to the stage 3 experts in variable fields of healthcare, in which two or three unique cases of atypical ulcerative lesions will be presented. Attendees will participate in live polling throughout the presentations. Ample time will be designated for more interaction between the audience and the expert panel at the end of the session.
Learning Objectives:
- Demonstrate the clinical signs and symptoms detected/reported in patients with atypical oral ulcers and discuss the presentations’ ambiguities that may obstruct and delay detection.
- Illustrate the pivotality of multidisciplinary team investigations to reach definitive diagnosis.
- Discuss the multimodal care provided by different disciplines to reduce morbidity and improve patients’ quality of life
